Maternity Care – Antenatal and postnatal checks are carried out during normal surgery hours. Please book a double appointment for postnatal checks for 6 weeks after the baby is born. |
Baby Clinic & Immunisations with Mrs George Charles the Practice Nurse or Dr Paul – By appointment only (13:00 pm – 15:00 pm). We do not see unwell babies in the baby clinic. Please make an appointment to see a Doctor if your baby is unwell. If your baby is unwell and cannot make the baby clinic, please either telephone us on 0203 376 3100 or send a text with the word CANCEL to 07951 336 106 giving the details of who the appointment is for and the appointment date. Children’s immunisations schedule are available on this website. |
Contraception / Family Planning – All doctors are able to offer comprehensive advice and services during Surgery hours. To discuss coil fittings please make an appointment to see Dr Kathy Paul or Dr Shivani Prasad and for implant fitting or removal with Dr Kathy Paul. |
Diabetic Clinic – Dr Prasad and Mrs George Charles the Practice Nurse run a diabetic clinic and we would advise all diabetic patients to be seen in this clinic at The Surgery will contact diabetic patients to make an appointment for a review at this clinic. |
Disease Prevention – Please book with Mrs Krutika Shah our Health Care Assistant. Our cardiovascular risk assessment healthcheck is offered to ALL of our patients (not just new patients). |
Health Checks – All the doctors perform specific screenings for patients suffering from or who require screening for Cardiovascular Disease (Heart and Blood Vessel Disease). This is done during normal surgery hours. |
Travel Vaccinations / Relate Healthcare – Our Practice Nurse is available to give advice on travel related healthcare and can provide vaccinations when required. Please ask reception for a travel clinic appointment at least 8 weeks prior to your travel date to ensure enough time to be fully vaccinated. |
Cervical Smears – We advise all women between the age of 20 and 50 years to have smears every 3 years and women over 50 to 64 years every 5 years. This is done by our Nurse or Dr Prasad or Dr Paul. |
Asthma Care – If you are asthmatic we would like to see you at least once every year to monitor your health. Please make an appointment specifically for asthma care Mrs George Charles the Practice Nurse during one of their normal surgery sessions or make an appointment in our nurse led asthma clinic. (In the flu vaccination season please book an appointment in one of her normal clinics). If you are unwell with your asthma or feel it is not well controlled please book with one of the GPs. |
Minor Surgery – Dr Paul undertakes some minor surgery procedures and joint injections of the knee and shoulder in the Surgery. You should make an appointment with them during normal Surgery hours to discuss the problem first and written consent must be obtained. Doctors can arrange referral for other joint injections as appropriate. Please book an appointment with any doctor in their routine clinics. |
Flu Vaccination Clinics – We run clinics during the months of October – December for elderly and at risk patients. |
Well Person Checks – Our Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant offer an NHS Health Check for patients aged 40-74. They screen for diabetes and give advice on blood pressure, weight, diet, plus advice on smoking and alcohol consumption. We also offer new patient registration health check. The Practice Nurse performs cervical smears and breast examinations if appropriate. Please make an appointment letting the receptionist know that it is a well person check. |
